Flower Boy next Door review

I did an all day marathon for complete 16 episodes of FLOWER BOY NEXT DOOR, although I like it with the entire little kissing scene which just lasted for about a blink of my eye and it’s gone without a promise of repeat. I don’t think I can put this on my best drama list. Don’t get me wrong I love Park Shin hye and learn to like Yoon Shi-yoon as the drama progresses, At first my heart was heading to Kim ji-hoon because I am always after an oppa guy than Dong-saeng type, Shi-Yoon’s character was energetic too overwhelming for an emo-post traumatic shut in girl who’s life evolve in writing and watching the guy who lives in front of her building in binoculars. It’s not the greatest, nor the worst one, but the play was not solid, sure it had me squirms a few giggles but it also burden me with hate-love with DokMi.

I know That’s lame, the same reason why I started coming off to liking this drama, It has potential, the plot, story and the characters, I just don’t like, or maybe it’s just me that don’t find Park shin hye appealing with her character, It took few episodes before I began empathizing her.  Dok mi(park Shin Hye) experienced a traumatic bullying from her high school years on her best friend hands and she then lives her life feeling ahjumma shutting herself from contact of people. When she met Enrique who again must have took more than his prescribed vitamins in a day trying to reach out to her and involving her daily humanly activity she immediately declines the effort, Our Poor Enrique who was also having his very own one sided love tragedy was very understanding and did not gave up on her, He was extremely jolly and that I think He thinks Dok Mi is an alien needs a human companion. At the height of drama Dok Mi’s past kept playing back and forth reminding me that this poor girl has been through a lot and so I have to be compelling enough, But hey, I also had my share of bullying when I was in High School, I did not let them crucify me for their entertainment, I fought back, gave the bully a piece of her shit, It was wrong but at least I am not living my present life suspended from human contact in which our little Dok Mi did the entire 14 eps. There are few of her making way of talking but I can’t just go on with her running away at possible romantic clings.

The drama did end well having her overcome all that mess, she moved on with her darling Enrique of course, I did not mention the other characters as I  was not interested with their share of fate with our two lead actor. But not to disregard the credit as they’ve invested a hell of acting, they were all good, perfect until the last drop except the antagonist lady who in the end did not die in remorse, If not with her no brainy scheme Dok Mi could have had her first love long time ago. What the heck that’s point of the story anyway.

They did have few daunting episodes and some pleasant surprise that I did not see it coming. The time when I’ve already grasped the fact that she’s about to run away again, hide in some isolated place just as what she did in Heirs, but she did not, the time when I thought she’d walk away after seeing baker king( shi-yoon and Im referring to his another drama baker king kim.) himself and the girl who I think is being starved extremely so she could be an actress but Dok Mi did not instead she grab him away from that wailing girl.

I like the story not the character of Park Shin hye, I like Baker King a lot though. He’s seriously not withholding himself from skinship which added the sparks, there were like 3 or 4 kisses in 16 episodes..What?3 ? YES..That’s how sad it was, I could not figure out why kdramas limits there kissing scene to prickly seconds, I’m telling you can count to one to ten and the kissing is over,  but I Guess they have reason for it.

Some scenes are unnecessary it feels like being fill up to cover their lack of ideas. The writer must have not realize that even if Dok Mi is one super emo girl, she also have feelings especially since they were already dating in nearly fatal episodes, the only person who’s doing all the aegyoing is Enrique, I know he’s adorable enough that another aegyo with the female lead will lead me to confront myself for living a boring life. I drink and eat all the sappiness of kdramas so I already know how pathetic I am.

If you must know Enrique is full bloodied Korean but was brought to Spain when he was just 9 years old and became  gamer nerd master, if you must know how a gamer nerd master look like..

This..this is how he looks like..Shame on you writer for making him wear that panda suits that makes me more confuse to what is hot, cute, adorable, and killer. You!

On the other hand I should not exempt how our ahjumma Dok Mi look like..

Seriously Dok Mi?

There is our Dear Dok mi wandering around streets trying to chase his neighbor, with all those nitpick clothes I could not understand where she took. Are all ahjummas always this cold? Im trying to grip the thought that it’s really must be cold in her place, but skinny girl visits Enrique’s hyung house in floral skimpy dress!

Dok Mi I’m putting you on restrain order to not ever go out again with that…that…vintage looking whatever. And keep your hair in place. Im glad that you have drop that bad hobby of yours, peeping is not lady’s nature to do so, While I already mention Yoon seo young for being able to dress up accordingly to her choices of closet. Here she is looking all lovely.

All around for my scoreboard 5 is the greatest. I’m putting all honesty here it’s about 4.0 to me.
Not great but not bad either.
I should say that Park Shin Hye has mastered the facial expression act.. Look at my eyes! I sad and I’m about attact you.
